The federal government is assisting with new dock upgrades on Kenora's Coney Island.

FedNor is committing $120,000 to help the City of Kenora to replace aging dock on the island's west side.

The island is five minutes by boat from Kenora's harbourfront and downtown, and its development is mentioned in the city's economic development plan as a key part of its plan to promote the community as a prime boating destination on Lake of the Woods.
