Summary:

The applicants sought Convention refugee status on the basis of a well-founded fear of persecution for reason of membership in a particular social group, namely, a family. The Convention Refugee Determination Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board dismissed the application. The applicants sought judicial review.

The Federal Court of Canada, Trial Division, dismissed the application.
