Motor Vehicle & Damage Awards - Defendant held solely responsible for motor vehicle accident for negligence in entering and crossing highway with his car when it was unsafe to do so. Court rejects Defendant's version and accepts Plaintiff's version. Female, Plaintiff 45, awarded $685. special damages for injuries including $300. for loss of income and $1,250 general damages for minor facial scars, eight-day hospitalization, off work for six weeks, pain and suffering. Male Plaintiff 40, awarded $100. general damages for broken ribs and several days lost work and $75. for loss of income. Female Plaintiff, 45, awarded $250. general damages for bruises, cuts, shock and pain and suffering and three days loss of work and $45. special damages. (including $30. loss of income).
