Scope Competition and antitrust law in Canada regulates mergers and acquisitions between businesses with the policy goal of ensuring adequate competition and a healthy economy for consumers and businesses. The major competition "watchdog" in Canada is the Competition Bureau which administers four major statutes: the Competition Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-34, the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-38, the Textile Labelling Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. T-10, and the Precious Metals Marking Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. P-19. Also included below are resources on unfair advertising, which is also regulated by the Competition Bureau.
