Summary:

This action arose out of a motor vehicle accident in which the plaintiff as a pedestrian was run down by the defendant's vehicle. After default judgment was entered the trial court assessed the plaintiff's general damages for personal injuries at $7,500.00 and special damages at $4,741.30.

Injury and death - Body injuries - Fractures of pelvis and dislocation of femur - Resulting pelvic deformity - Permanent partial disability - 36 year old female - Newfoundland Supreme Court awarded $7,500.00 general damages for personal injuries.
