The immediacy of the Internet has made staying current with substantive changes in the law much easier. Law-related blogs - discussed in more detail in Chapter 10, Section J - are written by subject experts on a wide variety of legal topics. Blogs allow readers to subscribe via an RSS ("Real Simple Syndication") reader to blogs of interest and to be notified when new posts have been added to the blog. In addition, publishers of legal information are increasingly adding RSS feeds to which the researcher can subscribe to be notified of new developments. The Ontario Court of Appeal, for example, has an RSS feed that announces the release of their new judgments. By subscribing to the court’s feed, one can get immediate notice of their new judgments. Set out below in Table 5.14 is a list of Internet sites that are useful for law-related current awareness.
