LEGAL REASONING

It has been so frequently uttered that it borders on cliché, but many law schools in the com-

mon law world insist on stating that “we teach our students to think like lawyers.” It is true

that there is a distinct manner in which lawyers approach legal issues and problems as com-

pared to most other disciplines. This list contains a number of Canadian works (in this case,

nationality is immaterial) and one U.K. work which discuss the process of legal reasoning and
