Scope Privacy law is increasingly relevant in modern society. In

Canada, privacy is regulated by federal statutes such as the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, S.C. 2000, c. 5 and the Access to Information Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. A-1, as well as parallel provincial statutes.
