Local job postings drop over 30 per cent from November.

There was a big drop in North Bay job postings in December compared to those posted in November, said Stacie Fiddler, executive director of the Labour Market Group.

There were 329 job postings recorded in December through a selection of online and print media sources.

"Although this is a very large (-31.5 per cent) drop from the November figure of 480, the December total does remain inline (+7.2 per cent), with the current threeyear December average of 307 postings. One hundred and forty-three unique employers posted jobs within the month, significantly higher than what has been seen the past two years with 114 in December of 2016 and 126 in the same month in 2015."

Of the 319 recorded postings:

* 93 per cent (305) were from online sources;

* 28 per cent (78) required some form of driver's licence;

* nine per cent (29) needed individuals with access to a personal vehicle;
