Sources
In Part IV, we discuss the various print and online legal research sources. There are
usually several different sources you can use to find answers to your research ques-
tions, but you probably won’t have access to all of them at the same time. Law books
are expensive, and many of the online sources are available only through costly sub-
scriptions. For that reason, all but the largest law libraries have very limited resources.
That’s why you need to know something about every available print and online
source—so that when you sit down to start researching, you will know how to use
whatever sources are available to you.
