Sentence - Possession of a narcotic - Cannabis resin - Seventeen year old male - Criminal record - The Northwest Territories Supreme Court imposed a fine of $400.00 and placed the accused on one year probation with the additional conditions that: (1) the accused continue to attend school and upon completion of school either seek gainful employment or continue his studies and (2) that the accused authorize his school principal to send progress reports to the court - See paragraphs 7 and 8.
