Summary:

The accused was charged with second de­gree murder. The accused challenged the admissibility of hair and DNA samples pro­cured by police during interviews, and the videotaped contents of the interviews them­selves.

The Alberta Court of Queen's Bench held that the hair and DNA samples and portions of the interviews would be admitted before the jury at trial.
