Summary:

The accused was charged with pointing a firearm contrary to s. 84(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The pointing resulted in the death of a person. The accused pleaded guilty. The Alberta Provincial Court imposed a suspended sentence. The Crown appealed to the Alberta Court of Appeal.

We are advised by counsel for the accused that the appeal to the Alberta Court of Appeal was dismissed.
