Hazardous products - Transportation of dangerous goods - Sentence - A major Maritime carrier pleaded guilty to two charges under the Transportation of Dan­gerous Goods Act - On one charge the required labels were not displayed on packs of paint containers and on the other charge the required documentation did not accompany shipments of paint and bat­teries - Long history of previous adminis­trative attempts to have carrier comply with Act - The New Brunswick Provincial Court sentenced the carrier to fines of $15,000 for the labeling offence and $5,000 for the documentation offence.
