Summary:

Between February 2011 and September 2012, the accused stole $8,380.78 from her employer. She pled guilty to theft over $5,000 (s. 362(a) of the Criminal Code).

The Yukon Territorial Court, in a decision reported at [2014] Yukon Cases Uned. 33, granted the accused a conditional discharge with one year of probation. The Crown sought leave to appeal.

The Yukon Court of Appeal granted leave to appeal and dismissed the appeal.
