An accused was charged with operating a tractor-trailer with excess weight, contrary to s. 172 of the Motor Vehicle Act, R.S.N.S. 1967, c. 191. The Nova Scotia Provincial Court acquitted the accused.

Regulation of vehicles - Excess weight - Weight calculation - The accused was charged with operating a tractor-trailer, which had excess weight, contrary to s. 172 of the Motor Vehicle Act, R.S.N.S. 1967, c. 191 - The Nova Scotia Provincial Court acquitted the accused, where the combination of vehicles was not weighed as a unit, but each of the five axles on the unit was weighed individually but while still joined together - See paragraphs 4 to 6.
