Where a court decides to deviate from the amount of child support that would be granted under sections 3 to 5 or 8 or 9 of the Federal Child Support Guidelines on the ground of undue hardship, section 10(6) of the Guidelines requires the court to record its reasons for doing so.246A written endorsement, unlike a recorded tape of a judicial proceeding, will provide a necessary permanent record of the purpose of section 10(6) of the Guidelines.
