Second drill program underway at Cochrane-area lithium property: The Case Lake property is a joint venture project between Power Metals Corp. and MGX Minerals Corp.

Power Metals Corp. is undertaking the second of two planned drill programs at its lithium property east of Cochrane.

The company announced on Jan. 10 it was starting a 2,000-metre drill program on the Northeast Dyke of its Case Lake project. Case Lake, located 80 kilometres east of Cochrane, is a joint venture project with MGX Minerals Corp., which retains a 20 per cent interest in the project.

Jacob and Samuel Drilling Ltd. of Sudbury is the drill contractor.

According to the company, the Northeast Dyke is located 900 metres northeast along strike of the recently completed 5,400-metre drill program on the North and Main Dykes.

Results from the first drill program were encouraging, and the company is hopeful to find additional spodumene--a type of rock traditionally identified as a source of lithium.
