Scope Workers’ compensation law is a specialized subset of employment and labour law that focuses on statutory regimes that determine the amount of money an injured worker is entitled to when injured on the job. It is generally governed by provincial legislation, such as Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997, S.O. 1997, c. 16, Sch. A, with disputes being heard before the relevant workers’ compensation tribunal.
