Sudbury Platinum raises financing to explore base metal deposit.

Sudbury Platinum has raised $3.18 million to finance further exploration of its Aer-Kidd base metals deposits in Sudbury.

CEO Scott McLean said the proceeds will be used to carry out an 18,000-metre drill campaign and complete borehole geophysical surveys in historic drill holes at the newly acquired Lockerby East and West Graham properties in the Sudbury basin.

"Drilling at Aer-Kidd is expected to commence in April," said McLean in a March 23 release.

The 260-hectare Aer-Kidd property is 20 kilometres southwest of Sudbury and covers a 1.3-kilometre section of what's known as the Worthington offset dyke.
