PATRICIA LANG

Patricia Lang is an energetic, dynamic visionary who believes in lifelong learning and building partnerships.

The partnerships she is involved with include students, employees, community members, local and international business, school boards, government, elected officials and other educational institutions.

Lang has worked in a number of man agement positions at Georgian College in Barrie for the past 15 years, culminating in her senior administrative appointment as vice-president, academic and student services. She has acquired extensive post-secondary experience in Quebec and Ontario, including previous teaching positions with Northern College in Timmins and Cambrian College in Sudbury.

Throughout her career Patricia has demonstrated expertise in creativity and innovation, fundraising and lobbying, curriculum and program development and sound fiscal management.

As well, she continually supports the success in others by supporting students and promoting professional development opportunities for her employees.

GISELE CHRETIEN

Gisele Chretien has been the president of College Boreal since December 1998. She was previously acting president of the college. Prior to this appointment, Chretien was executive dean of programs and academic support at College Boreal.

She was also dean of community and health services, director of health services as well as a faculty member in the French-language division of Cambrian College.

Chretien is currently vice-chair of the board of directors of Contact North, a member of the board of directors of the Mining Innovation, Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation and a member of the board of directors of the Sudbury Regional Hospital. She is a an executive member of the committee of presidents of the Association of Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology of Ontario (ACAATO) and sits on the MTCU/ ACAATO Charter Working Group.

In August 2000, Chretien was appointed to the Advisory Committee for Online Learning, an inititative of Industry Canada and the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada.

She was a founding member of the Board of Governors o College Boreal and a member of various regional and provincial committees.
