ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ted Tj ade n, LL.B., M.I.St., LL.M., is the National Director of Know-

ledge Management at McMillan LLP, a Canadian business l aw f‌irm.

He is called to the bar in British Columbia (1987) and Ontar io (1996)

and has practised law in a variety of circum stances, including as a

commercial litigator, in-house counsel to Seiko Epson Corporation in

Japan, and a research law yer. In addition, his work at the University

of Toronto, Faculty of Law, as a law librari an and adjunct professor,

included teaching legal research at t he Faculty in addition to teaching

law librarian ship at the Faculty of Information. He holds a Bachelor of

Laws degree from Queen’s University, and both a Master of Information

Studies and a Master of Laws deg ree from the University of Toronto.

His current work has is focuse d on the intersection of legal research,

knowledge management, and technology.
