Mount Royal College will offer a new applied degree in Justice Studies begin with a bridging program in the fall of 1999. It will meet a workplace need for highly trained graduates who could go into policing, corrections adult probation, or security.

The degree program will combine existing diploma programs in Corrections, Criminology, and University Transfer. It will also add new elements to the curriculum -- forensic studies; comparative, cross-national analyses; ethical and moral perspectives; and the use of research methodology.
