WHAT IT IS: Now in its 27th year, CAWEE is the longest running businesswomen's association in the country. A not-for-profit organization based in Toronto, its purpose is to build networks by encouraging women from different professions and walks of life, to connect and develop relationships from a business perspective. It incorporates a diverse cross-section of professional and entrepreneurial women with wide-ranging interests, experiences and successes and is in the process of forging alliances with other organizations locally and nationally. CAWEE presents an ExtraOrdinary Woman of the Year Award annually to one woman in recognition of her dedication to herself and other women in their pursuit of personal, professional and financial achievement.
