Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce plans to listen intently to what the barnstorming provincial election candidates have to say.

The chamber says it's taking an active role during the October provincial campaign to ensure the candidates have a position on energy pricing, wood supply, economic development in northwestern Ontario, and four-laning of the Trans-Canada Highway.

"All of the parties are in a tight race and voters need to focus on the current issues that affect Northwestern Ontario residents and businesses," says Norine Carroll, acting chamber president.
