A booming North Bay technology firm officially opened its new location Nov. 2 by blowing up its ribbon.

WipWare president Tom Palangio calmly watched as three grimacing politicians pushed the plungers of blasting machines.

North Bay Mayor Al McDonald, Nipissing-Temiskaming MPP Vic Fedeli and Nipissing MP Jay Aspin helped mark the company's move to a bigger space at 685 Bloem Street. It was WipWare's second move in less than a year since the company has been growing rapidly.

The new location means double the square footage for the company to accommodate its staff of 11, which was at five about a year ago. It will also provide more space for production, training, research and development, and parts and inventory storage facilities.

WipWare Inc. is a global photoanalysis software and systems company headquartered in North Bay, serving primarily the mining, aggregate and explosives industries.
