Building starts on new Sioux Lookout hospital construction.

Construction is underway on Sioux Lookout's Meno Ya Win Health Centre.

The 140,000-square-foot project will contain 60 in-patient beds and will be one-and-half times larger than the combined size eight existing sites.

Construction costs on the project are guaranteed not to exceed $106.8 million under terms of the construction contracts, says project manager Dave Beazley. All subcontracts will be finalized shortly based on tenders submitted to Ellis Don Construction as part of an open bid approach.
