Thinking of opening your own business? Need some help? Read on. Thunder Bay's Confederation College has partnered with Productive Publications to publish a series of books dealing with entrepreneurship and small business development.

"(Entrepreneurs) make a lot of common mistakes over and over again," says Graham Clayton, director of the Institute of Global Entrepreneurship and Electronic Commerce at the college.

Clayton says under-financing, not doing their homework and a lack of management skills are just a few of the mistakes that entrepreneurs make when starting out.

With the help of small teams of college staff, Confederation College has written The Entrepreneur and the Business Idea, Business Planning and Finances, Small Business Finance, Starting a Business Relationship, Development and Maintenance and Youth Entrepreneurship.

All six books are on the market and can be purchased at the college, through Productive Productions or online.
