Contractor killed at North Shore mine project.

A fatal accident occurred over the Labour Day Weekend at the Stillwater Mining project in Marathon.

In a Sept. 3 release, the company reported that James Buckner, a contractor for Stillwater Canada, was fatally injured during the afternoon of Aug. 31.

The Ministry of Labour and the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating.
