Dewatering experts bring experience to the North.

Built on, the pillars of quality customer service, dependable equipment and services, and environmental responsibility, Aquatech Dewatering Company and Aquatech Pump and Power has garnered a solid reputation across Ontario for its dewatering equipment and services, and the company has now set its sights on the North.

With roots in Northern Ontario, it made sense for Aquatech's founders to bring their expertise to Sudbury, where they opened a new branch in May. The move is part of a long-term expansion plan, with the North identified as the company's target market.

"I think people underestimate the true value of business in Northern Ontario," said Aquatech president Andy Ingriselli. "I think it will be a great benefit to this industry to have a lot more advanced technologies and stronger support representing those services, and more specialized companies should take a better look at Northern Ontario as they will see that it's a very challenging and demanding market."

Aquatech provides excavation dewatering, open-pit mine dewatering, creek bypass and sewer bypass pumping, pond drainage, tailings and sludge product transfer, temporary fire water and plant feed water service, product transfer on long pipelines and temporary bypass of water distribution systems to name just a few.

With a large fleet ready to-be mobilized when needed, the company also offers emergency pumping response during floods and failed sewer infrastructure or distribution systems. The equipment and manpower can be moved out that same day to address an incident.

The company is unique in that it gives clients options on the types of services available. Customers can purchase or rent equipment through the Aquatech Pump and Power arm of the business, or can opt for full equipment and-services through Aquatech Dewatering Company.

"We offer the full package, if that's what the customer needs," Ingriselli said. "We'll bring in the experienced...
