North Bay Hydro Distribution Limited requires an operations engineer.

North Bay Hydro Distribution Ltd. distributes electricity to the citizens of North Bay with a staff of 36 people. We serve approximately 23,000 customers. Reporting to the Manager - Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Engineering Department, including outside Engineering Contractors.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

* Eligible for membership in the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), with an Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized university.

* 10 years related experience with a Local Distribution Company.

* Knowledge of O.H.S.A., EUSA Rule Book and Safe Practice Guides.

* The ability to implement company safety policies with staff and contractors.

* Supervisory experience in a unionized environment.

* Working knowledge of practices, standards and procedures covering distribution system design, station operation and maintenance, overhead and underground systems, metering and streetlight operation and maintenance.

* Knowledge of Telecommunication Systems would be an asset.

* Valid Class "G" driver's license with a clean abstract.
