Energy company gets funding.

Hydro Tech, a Sault Ste. Marie-based company that develops engineering, maintenance and construction solutions for the hydro power industry, will open a head office with provincial funding.

The company has received $468,352 from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. (NO-HFC), which will go towards a new head office for 21 new employees over the next five years. Funding will also be used to assist with the purchase of office furnishings and equipment to facilitate engineering projects and manufacturing design. Hydro installation and construction equipment will also be purchased as part of the project.
