If you require services or product from Equipment World Inc.'s Sault Ste. Marie branch you can flip through the company's catalogue, but Sean Demidovich would rather you pick up the phone and have a chat with a sales representative to ensure all your needs are met.

"We don't just provide the customers with a product. We provide them with a solution," Demidovich, Sault Ste. Marie branch manager says. "We like (our customers) to give us a call so we can do a bit of research because everyone's application is different. We're very application-specific for each individual's environment."

At Equipment World Inc. a business transaction goes way beyond providing a customer with a product. People who haven't dealt with Equipment World Inc. are most likely accustomed to purchasing a product then merely taking it back to their place of business for use, Demidovich says.

But at Equipment World, servicing their customers doesn't come to an end once a purchase of equipment is made. Other factors can come in to play, including assurance that the client has the space to store the equipment and the proper training to use the equipment.

"When we go to sell a forklift, for example, we sell a total solution," Demidovich says. "We sell the training, we sell everything around that product. It's like free solution advice. We show the customers the best way to store the product and handle it. We show them the whole realm that deals with that product."

The Sault location, which has 10 employees, also has a service department with three technicians available 24 hours a day to take care of any equipment needs.
