Summary:

A man and woman lived together for 11 years as husband and wife. After separation, the woman applied under s. 2(m) of the Family Maintenance Act for periodic and lump sum maintenance.

The Nova Scotia Family Court awarded the woman $700.00 per month maintenance and a lump sum of $10,000.00.
