There are a number of different reasons why a business may decide to charter a flight rather than fly with commercial airlines. From the point of view of businesses, these reasons can include greater reliability, flexibility and privacy.

If you fly with a non-charter airline, you have little choice but to travel according to the airline's schedule and their routes. Instead of taking a direct flight from point "A" to point "B," a business may have to face numerous layovers in different cities, longer travel time, and even the possibility of seeing their flights overbooked, delayed or cancelled.

How easy is it in a busy airport or on a crowded plane to have a last-minute meeting or work out the bugs in a sales pitch or contract?

Whatever the need, whether cargo service or passenger service to fly employees to or from a job site, a charter is a growing alternative to commercial flights. With a charter, the business is in control of the departure time, destination and number of people on the flight.

With extra costs, fees and taxes associated with commercial flights, businesses may also find charters to be a cheaper alternative, and sometimes charter services offer prices competitive with larger carriers.
