Laurentian Media Group founder and president Michael Atkins will receive the prestigious Dr. Fred Sheridan Award at Cambrian College's 39th annual convocation ceremony at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 24.

The Dr. Fred Sheridan Award recognizes contributions to the advancement and betterment of society through extraordinary service to education.

In addition to Northern Ontario Business, Northern Life, Sudbury Mining Solutions Journal and the Northern Ontario Medical Journal, the Laurentian Media Group also owns and operates national consumer magazines, trade magazines, trade shows and Internet portals.
