LawNow has teamed up with Our Voice magazine to highlight the importance of facing and fighting poverty with a wide range of weapons from legislation and the courts to self-help on the street.

Our Voice is filled with questions and stories of the personal side of social justice and the human struggle with poverty. Vendors buy copies for sixty cents (less in quantity) and sell them for a donation. Thus Our Voice provides economic opportunities for the vendors who are seeking independence, a form of self-expression, and a community to belong to. Since its beginning in Edmonton, it has provided more than 1500 people with opportunities for entrepreneurial self-help. To quote one vendor, "Many of us, `vendors', make $25 a day...
