Two lesbian couples in Calgary have succeeded in their quest to adopt children. The children, boys aged five and twelve were conceived by artificial insemination and their adopting stepmothers are the partners of their birth mothers. Evidence at the hearings showed that the children were being raised in secure, loving, and stable homes.
