Liberty takes stock of nickel reserves.

Back in the mid-1960s, a mining company located a potentially rich source of nickel about 25 kilometres south/southeast of Timmins.

Since then, Liberty Mineral Exploration Inc. of Timmins has announced acquisition of the McWatters Property with plans to begin drilling the property to assess its total nickel resource.

Recently elected company president Eduard H. Ludwig reports that a single drill hole on the property indicated a nickel concentration of 1.43 per cent in 312 feet of the core's length. Also located was. 11 g/t platinum and .28 g/t of palladium. Also within the hole, a new zone of mineralization was encountered from 681 feet to 691 feet, grading .94 per cent nickel across a core length of 10 feet including 1.44 per cent nickel across 2.4 feet of that length.
