Greater Sudbury-When Carl Liu says go big, he means go global.

This fall, the mechanical mining engineer and consulting manager of 3C International Company will be doing both, and is inviting Sudbury businesses to come along.

Presently, Liu is planning a trade mission for several Sudbury companies to participate in a Mining Expo from Oct. 25 to 28, in China's capital city of Beijing.

Liu says there are many mining expos, but the one he is planning on attending is held every second year and offers a valuable opportunity for local operators to promote. He expects there will be well over 200 companies attending, from China and around the world.

Born in Shanghai province, Liu studied and worked in Beijing for 15 years, giving him relevant expertise and extensive contacts in the mining sector.
