The social and economic impacts of a horseracing and gaming facility will be debated by North Bay city council at its Jan. 24 meeting.

Don Fudge's proposal to build a $15-million racing and slots attraction in the city's east end will be on the agenda.

Fudge, a North Bay businessman, heads an investors group known as Nipissing Entertainment, with plans to build a racing venue on 102 acres of greenfield property on Birch's Road and Ferris Drive.
