St. Marys Paper has been fined $160,000 under the Occupational Health and Safety Act for falling to ensure the safety of one of its employees who died after an accident in January 2000.
The Sault Ste. Marie-based papermaker pleaded guilty in provincial offences court on Dec. 6.
