A petition co-authored by new Nipissing MPP Al McDonald calling for the provincial government to stop the privatization efforts of the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission has been read in the Ontario legislature.
The petition, which was written on behalf of North Bay city council when McDonald was the City of North Bay's deputy mayor, also calls for the replacement of the commission's members with persons who are more committed to fulfilling the Crown corporation's economic and social mandate.
