Sault quality improvement group receives national award.

Sault Ste. Marie Community Quality Improvement (CQI) initiative has won a national award for excellence.

The community is the recipient of the National Quality Institute's Silver Level Award for Community Building.

It's the first time the National Quality Institute has recognized a community's efforts in improving quality of life on a holistic level.

"We couldn't be more excited, more thrilled," says Ken Coulter, CQI's executive director in a Sept. 17 statement.
