Close to a million-and-half trees have been planted between Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa since late May says Clergue Forest Management Inc., a Sault-based forestry planning firm.

Its contractor, Outland Reforestation planted about 1,458,500 jack pine, black and white spruce, bringing their five-year total up to 5.1 million trees on the Wawa Forest and 2.2 million on the Algoma Forest.
