Former Sudbury mayor Jim Gordon wants Inco and Xstrata Nickel (formerly Falconbridge) to open their wallets to help repair the municipality's bumpy roads.

Gordon, who spoke at the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation's Sept. 13 meeting, said both miners have extracted billions of dollars in mineral resources from the area but have behaved "like Scrooges" when it comes to contributions to local projects.
