The City of Greater Sudbury has earned accolades for Reclaiming Our Urban Places, a brownfield strategy and community improvement plan designed to find new uses for vacant commercial properties.

Recognized by the Canadian Urban Institute, the city was named a finalist for a Brownie Award in the Legislation, Policy and Program Development category. The institute hosted its annual Canadian Brownfields conference and gala in Niagara Falls last week.
