The scion of a pioneer Italian-Canadian family, Ronald (Ron) Scagnetti, died Dec. 10 at his home on Lake Wahnapitae at the age of 80.

Scagnetti was a well-known and respected businessman, owning and operating car dealerships in Sudbury for more than 60 years. Most recently, he was general sales manager at Mid North Mitsubishi.
