A Cambridge-based operator of long-term care homes is acquiring three properties in Thunder Bay.

Southbridge Health Care LP and Yorkville Long Term Health Care Fund announced March 8 of its expansion to Northern Ontario by picking up Lakehead Manor, Pinewood Court and Roseview Manor from Rivera Inc., a provider of seniors' accommodations.

Finalizing the acquisition should take several months as all transfers of long-term care bed licences are reviewed by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
