Wood WORKS!, an industry-led initiative of the Canadian Wood Council, has announced the 55 nominees for the 7th Annual Ontario Wood WORKS! Awards, including two names from Northern Ontario. Due to be held at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York Hotel Nov. 6, the awards gala recognizes people and organizations dedicated to pioneering and preserving the use of wood. Located roughly 40 kilometres northwest of Hearst, near the Constance Lake First Nations, the Eagle's Earth Cree Ojibway Historical Centre has been nominated for a Commercial Wood Design Award by Timmins' ANO Architects.
